Dear sponsors

We hope you have had a few good months since our last communication.

During this time, we have faced many changes and challenges in our project, as well as our mission and work, which have developed over time.

At the end of June, we visited La guajira to monitor the project and make the necessary changes. We have seen that the production of mochilas has helped a lot in the development of the community, however, we hope to start a new chapter in the history of the communities. In today's world, commerce has moved to the online world, so we are planning new courses on craft entrepreneurship as an addition to our in-company mochila training to a gobernment educational entity called SENA. It is very important that women leaders and the community learn to create an independent product for future generations.

Also, we bought and collected community-made mochillas. We also set up a meeting to schedule training for SENA and local workers, but it was impossible to start the class immediately because Colombia was in the middle of a presidential election. However, in a meeting with the person in charge, after the new president began his term and the instructor contract for the class was finalized, he was confirmed to start the class after completing a list of participation by community and supporting the purchase of necessary items for the class. We are waiting to meet them again.

During our last visit, we also delivered markets to families in the communities to continue contributing positively to strategies related to food security.

Finally, we are moving towards more independent communities, as we told you some reports ago, we started an agricultural part of the project, and we continue to see the results. Each community nos has a pot of vegetables to grow their food and is slowly achieving food security.

We look forward to our best efforts to continue this project for the rest of 2022 with the help of our sponsors.
