What's the Problem?
It's Illegal: In some countries, being LGBTQ+ is against the law.
Discrimination: People face mean words, bullying, and aren't treated fairly at work, school, or the doctor's office.
No Help: Because it's illegal, the government doesn't help protect LGBTQ+ people.
Fear: Many people are scared to speak up for their rights.
What's This Project Doing?
This project, run by Action Change, wants to make things better by:
Supporting Activists: Giving people who are fighting for LGBTQ+ rights the tools they need to spread their message.
Educating People: Holding workshops to teach about important topics like sexual health and how to stay safe.
Changing Laws: Helping to change laws so that LGBTQ+ people have the same rights as everyone else.
Creating Safe Spaces: Helping people understand the stigmas faced, so they can help create safe spaces.
Why Is This Important?
Human Rights: Everyone deserves to be treated fairly, no matter who they are.
Safety: Education and awareness help keep people safe.
Equality: Changing laws means everyone has the same chances in life.
Community: Creating safe spaces helps people feel like they belong.
How Will They Do It?
They need £15,612 to make this happen.
They'll use the money to support activists and run workshops.
In Simple Words:
This project wants to help LGBTQ+ people in Africa live safe and happy lives. They're doing this by helping people fight for their rights, teaching others about important topics, and working to change unfair laws. It's all about making sure everyone is treated with respect.
