Project Report | May 5, 2025
From small games to big impact

By Iwona Olkowicz | Project Coordinator

/Polish version below/

It means the world to us to have allies like you—people who stand by us when it truly matters. Together with young people from several rural schools in the Elk subregion, we are preparing to launch community-driven initiatives and shine a light on youth volunteerism through the power of film.

Recently, we’ve been running workshops designed to empower young volunteers, strengthen their sense of community, and help them realize that every voice in the group counts. Through interactive games and group discussions, these young changemakers are discovering that they can shape their own volunteer experiences. They're learning the power of asking for help from local partners—and how collaboration makes their impact even stronger. Most importantly, they are beginning to see that diversity within a group is not a challenge, but a superpower.

Each participant is uncovering their own unique strengths, and realizing that what may be a weakness for one person can be a strength for another. Together, they are building teams with real, unstoppable potential.

In our sessions, we use simple tools—like juggling balls—to show that while leaders are important, they shouldn’t dominate; that having a goal is vital, but so is building trust and relationships. We also use the "Budget Game" to help young people understand the diversity of needs within a community. Through this game, they learn empathy, cooperation, negotiation, communication—and yes, even math .

More workshops lie ahead, and we need your help to keep going. To continue supporting these young people consistently, your donation makes a difference. Every gift tells us that what we’re doing matters—and motivates us to keep moving forward.

Od malych kroków do wielkiej zmiany – pomóz nam dzialac dalej

Dziekujemy, ze jestes z nami! To bardzo wazne, aby miec grono sojuszników, którzy wspieraja w potrzebie.  My wraz z mlodzieza z kilku szkól z subregionu elckiego przygotowujemy sie do organizacji akcji spolecznych i do pokazania dzialan wolontariackich za pomoca ruchomego obrazu.

Grajac w Gre o Budzet mlodziez uczy sie empatii, wspólpracy, negocjacji i komunikacji, a takze matematyki .

Przed nami kolejne zajecia w szkolach. Zeby dzialac systematycznie, potrzebujemy Twojego wsparcia.
