We concluded with great satisfaction a challenging school year in which classroom absences and distance learning were commonplace worldwide. But more than 90% of our children returned to school, filled our classrooms and received the benefits of a balanced diet and basic health care for any human being.

During the 2021-2022 school year, the students of U.E. Jenaro Aguirre received virtual classes until April, when gradually and with all the biosecurity measures, they returned to the classrooms. At all times, the Madre María Luisa Casar Foundation was at the community of the 24’s side, supporting the families and teachers who make up our school, to successfully carry out the return of students to their curricular activities.

The Madre María Luisa Casar Foundation allocated significant resources for the new feeding strategies implemented by the team in charge of the school canteen, thus continuing with our nutritional program, despite the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. Once the children and teaching staff returned to the classrooms, the school canteen continued working to offer them a light breakfast and a balanced lunch.

The María Luisa Casar Outpatient Clinic remained open throughout the school year, even though the school was closed until April. There, not just the students of the Jenaro Aguirre School were seen, but also their families and all the people of the community who required medical attention. During the months of the pandemic, the Outpatient Clinic organized health fairs for the people of Barrio 24 de Marzo.

Starting in April, the UE Jenaro Aguirre reactivated all its regular and extra-curricular activities, as well as the complementary projects that the MMLC Foundation carries out in the community of 24 de Marzo in Petare, allowing all students and their families to return to their daily routine, interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are celebrating 25 years of work and sustained growth; 25 years where each student is a purpose of success and you are part of this team. Without your help, these educational projects that generate change and promote progress in our society would be impossible.

Our commitment is to continue working with excellence to continue generating positive changes for our children; to form conscious citizens. That is why we need your generous contribution so that our Jenaro Aguirre Elorriaga school continues to be a reference for our graduating classes, their families and the generations to come, because if we want healthy and integral adults, we cannot deny them education, health and nutrition, fundamental rights of any human being in their childhood.
