Greetings from the Cemetery in Philippines(12th)

By Hayeon Yu | Greetings from the Cemetery in Philippines(12th)

Hi, we are U9Change, an international NPO volunteer organization.

We meet children from around the world who are suffering from poverty and inequality, and help treat diseases.
We would like to share the latest news from the Cemetery Village in Pasay, Philippines.

The Cemetery Village in the Philippines was initially created as people began building homes on the graves of those who had died without a proper place to rest. For all residents of the Cemetery Village, graves have become dining tables for meals, beds for sleeping, and even playgrounds for children. The only source of water for the residents is a well dug around the graves, used for both drinking and washing. The children are exposed to an unhygienic environment with trash and skulls scattered around.

As a result, they suffer from different diseases and skin conditions. Yet, the children always dream of a better tomorrow with a bright smile on their face. We were able to visit the Philippines and provide the children with medicines and vitamins, from the support of our donors.

We are committed to protecting the health of the children in harsh environments, and deeply appreciate everyone who has supported the children in the Cemetery Village. We look forward to bringing you more positive news in the future.
