Rainforest Biodiversity Improvement Project

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our initiative rainforest biodiversity improvement project. This project assumes great significance because of the need to improve biodiversity especially in the uplands. The value of forest areas is immense not only for immediate needs of local people but also in terms of what we call nature services. This reporting period we find the need to demonstrate the growing and nurturance of native tree species compared to the growing of non-native species which studies shows is not producing good results in terms of environmental improvement. In this regard we have designated a 10-acre plot wherein we will grow and demonstrate the culture of native tree species. This is a venue for training as well as source of planting materials for nearby farmers. Hoping for your continuing support to our initiative.

Dear Friend,

Warmest greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative improving the biodiversity of our rainforest. The problem in rainforest areas is multiple and complex and we need the younger generation to also contribute in the improvement of our forest and upland zones. Thus during this reporting period, we promoted the growing and caring of trees by our younger generation by the provision of seedlings and the conduct of training among 32 of them. Thanks also to local supporters who provided help so that this project can move forward. We are very keen in advocacy work towards generating multiple support for this initiative because we realize that this is very important. Hoping for your continuing support. Thank you very much.
