Saving Children on India's Dangerous Roads

2020 has been a tough year. We’re still facing unprecedented change in our daily lives, and now more than ever, we need support from each other to overcome new and ongoing challenges. I am immensely thankful for supporters and donors like you who are making it possible for SaveLIFE Foundation to minimise disruptions to our work and continue delivering on our mission to save lives on India’s roads.

Thanks to our supporters, we are in the process of adopting several crash-prone intersections (school-zones) in Delhi where we plan to implement our Zero-Fatality Corridor (ZFC) model to eradicate serious injuries and deaths. The ZFC project has been successfully completed on one of Delhi’s most crash-prone intersections and we will be replicating this model across the other adopted intersections. This shall include,

1. Thoroughly studying and if needed redesigning the intersection using tactical measures 
2. Making children and school buses more visible on roads through reflective equipment,
3. Training school bus drivers on safe driving techniques, and
4. Training teachers and community first responders on first aid.
