In October,40,000+ students received the handbook

Thank you for your continuous attention and support to the public welfare projects of the "SEL Curriculum for Rural Children in China" project.With your support, the Rici team has achieved outstanding milestones over the past few months. We are thrilled to share our progress with you.

 

 

1. Personal teacher application data Because in October, the project team still had some manuals for teachers to apply for inventory, and some new teachers showed great enthusiasm for applying. After information confirmation, the project team reached a consensus to open the application channel again in mid-October, complete the application of fall teacher recruitment for the 2024-2025 school year at noon on 22nd, and determine the final list of teachers for the 2024-2025 school year project cooperation. The final data is summarized as follows: There are 644 individual teachers and 42,663 students served. Among the 644 individual teachers who will participate in teaching this academic year, a total of 26 provincial administrative regions (except Beijing, Shanghai, Qinghai, Xizang, Heilongjiang, Macao, Hong Kong, Taiwan) are distributed, and the provinces with the largest number of participating teachers are mainly distributed in Hunan, Yunnan, Henan, Shanxi, Gansu and other provinces.

In October, the project staff continued to follow up the progress of teacher signing, and by October 31, the signing rate of individual teacher activity manual reached 92.86%. Many teachers also recorded the happy reactions of the children after receiving the activity book. Let's experience the scene with the children!

In addition, our project teachers are also actively teaching according to their own plan and pace, and the following teachers are selected as a share. s:

In class today, I came to class early to get ready for class: open courseware, blackboard topic, item preparation, sorting process and so on. I waited with great anticipation for the students to return to the classroom. After the teachers and students returned to class, we determined the class agreement of this class: sit upright, focus, listen carefully, and actively participate. Then I started with the topic: "Students, are you curious about the topic?" Maybe the students are nervous, or maybe the sixth grade does not like to express, and they did not raise their hands after several times of inspiration. I again led the students who were finally seated at the lecture table to speak. "I wonder what kind of seed?" I affirmed, "Very good! I'm just as curious as you are about what kind of seed it is!" Then the boy behind the fourth group raised his hand and said, "How can I protect my seed?" "How do I protect my seed? I'm surprised you think so deeply! Thumbs up for you!" The first boy in the first group also spoke: "I wonder what the seeds will be like when they germinate?" Upon hearing his answer, I could not help but give him a thumbs-up and said, "Your thinking is very good!" I'm blown away by you!" As I summarize the students' responses, I introduce a new lesson.

Teaching reflection: In this class, I focused on students' thinking generation, so I did not have time to show and communicate in the later sowing time. I think after this class, I will first play warm-up games, then introduce topics to inspire students to think, then tell the story of my daughter's planting, and watch videos to arouse students' interest in class. Set the stage for sowing seeds later!

 

2. Feedback collection of individual teacher recruitment collaborators

During the month of October, we collected questions and suggestions for improvement from the telephone interviews and community questions. In the telephone interview, the teachers mainly encountered the following problems: mainly concentrated on the applicants can not contact; Due to the back-to-school season in September, teachers are busy and have conflicting communication time. In view of the problems in the interview process, the teachers also put forward the following suggestions: applicants take the initiative to add wechat, if not, will not pass; Secondly, the telephone interview can be predicted in advance through multiple channels; In addition, teachers who intend to register can enter the group first, clarify the specific requirements, answer questions in a unified manner, and then docking, so that teachers can understand the implementation requirements more easily; Finally, the telephone interview could not fully tell the teacher's determination to complete the next project. For new teachers, some questionnaires can be set to see their attitude. Community Q&A collaborator teacher proposed: can timely summary of high-frequency problems; After recruiting volunteers, you can hold some common questions online; And beautify the document, adjust the font of the document, make it more in line with reading habits.

 

3. Preparation for project site visit In October, the staff asked the teachers who were familiar with the project and the new teachers in this school year about their willingness to visit, communicated with the visiting matters, and synchronized with the relevant staff to reach a preliminary consensus on the visit. A total of eight staff members will conduct visits in November.
