Wedding ceremony for our Executive Director: Our ED is so happy today that he is celebrating his wedding with his new wife, Sreynich.

We wish them much joy, health and deep love as they embark on their life together as husband and wife.

Cambodian weddings are a culturally rich special event often lasting up to three days.

There are several steps to a traditional wedding:

Sien Doan Taa (Honoring ancestors)

Hai Goan Gomlom (Introduction of families and the exchanging of wedding rings)

Gaat Sah (Haircutting cre3mny symbolising letting go of the past and starting a new life together)

Soat Mun (Monk's blessing)

Bang Chhat Madaiy (Honoring and protecting parents as they did for them when they were kids)

Sompeas Ptem (knot tying as a symbol of loyalty and protection)

Bongvul Pbopul (other married couples passing blessings)

As we end the school year and begin a new one, we take the time to honour the teachers and the curious, fun-loving students.

Shaping stronger futures together!
