Project Report | Jun 18, 2021
01.06.2020 - 01.06.2021 report, Bridge of Hope NGO

By Susanna Tadevosyan | Project Leader, President of "Bridge of Hope" NGO

The current report covers the period 01.06.2020 – 01.06.2021. Up to date 9,926 USD is raised that makes about 10% of the total budget of the project - 91,800 USD. We are grateful to all of our 198 individual donors who brought real differences in the lives of 360 children with disabilities living in remote Tavush Province of Armenia.
The implementation of the project faced significant challenges during 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic and the armed conflict with Azerbaijan. However, we could overcome the challenging situation and didn’t let our children to feel isolated and forgotten. Bridge of Hope has worked hard to ensure that all of our beneficiaries are equally enrolled in the program and receive the needs based social, psychological and educational services.

EDUCATION

210 children with disabilities attend inclusive schools together with their peers. They all feel valued and accepted and enjoy the feeling of belongingness to the group.

ART THERAPY

105 children with disabilities from 5 to 13 years old attend the art club. They learn and practice skills like patterning and cause and effect. They learn to express their thoughts and feelings and deal with their emotions such as fear of getting sick or fear of loneliness. The activities of the club (painting, sculpting, and pottery) expand children's ability to interact withthe world around them, and provide a new set of skills for self-expression and communication and benefit their development.

NATURE CLUB, RECREATION AND LEISURE

75 children from 10 to 18 and 45 children from 3 to 6 years age groups are involved in Nature Club activities. Part of activities make also the play, recreation and leisure that contributed a lot to the development of autonomy, competence and social connections among children. The club also enhances connections between individual child and nature to foster their pro-environmental behavior. We continue our services and rely on the continuity support of our Donors. Please know that your support is vital to our children and we hope to receive your donations in the future as well.
