Hello Friends,
It continues to be a challenge to fundraise to support healthcare in Simanjiro. Happily more and more people are getting the COVID vaccine, and levels of infection have now reduced. Tanzania has also dropped requirements for testing on arrival and departure for visitors.
We continue trying to help the local doctors and the community radio station share community public health messages. That continues to be the main target of our fundraising in this project at the moment, especially since local resources are stretched. The rains finally came, but by then many cattle (the traditional livelihood of the Maasai) had perished, and some people left the area with their cows to ensure they survied.
As ever, if you would like to share this project's fundraising links with friends and family that may be interested in supporting us, please do.
Many thanks from us, and the communities of Simanjiro in Tanzania!
Bernie
