Thanks to your generosity, Global Water Challenge and women for water are supporting Global Grassroots’ women-led water venture – Bright Future.
Together with Bright Future, we have provided over 2,100 people access to clean water with water collection time decreasing from an average 3 hours to just 45 minutes. This has already had ripple effects across the community – decreasing instances of waterborne illness and sexual assault and increasing school attendance for young women.
The project has also provided 27 vulnerable households with free water and soap and conducted trainings for more than 400 people on water management and treatment, gender equity, family planning and women’s rights.
Again, thank you for your continued support! Because of you, we are able to provide clean water, soap and trainings to Rwandans who need it most.
Follow women for water’s journey to empower women and girls across 10,000 communities with access to WASH and life skills programs by 2030 on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook! You can also see Global Grassroots’ impact here.
