Medical Care
All the children are provided with medical care and we keep track of it through a proper health record. We maintain in a health booklet. A blood test was done for checking Haemoglobin and blood groups of all the new admissions.
Eye examinations were also conducted and corrections through spectacles done promptly. We are also strengthening our tie-ups with various doctors in the city so that children receive timely medical care and it is not very costly.
We also feel that there is a need to educate children about hygiene and cleanliness issue. We are actively working in this direction. Regular sessions are being conducted for educating children about brushing teeth and bathing regularly.
Children have also been advised to not exchange clothing in the hostel. We are also giving anti scab lotion to protect them from the spread of scabies. We are also providing deworming tablets.
Sanjana Kohli is also undergoing medical examination before she leaves to the United States as an exchange scholar.
We are grateful to your help for providing us this invaluable support.
