Dear Family/Donors,

Our last grantees are in the world as you could see in the last report. We wish them all the best! Make the world better!!!!

In this report, we will show you our intense work to develop a new class of the Socioenvironmental Business MBA at our school – ESCAS.

First, we made a workshop with many of our MBA professors to improve the course taking into account the students evaluations. In a whole day of intensive work, we could promote very productive and interactive discussions! As a result, we have now a blended course that will allow more professionals to attend it. See the pictures below.

At this very moment, we are in the middle of the activities to have a new class!

However, what does it mean? Can you imagine how many persons we need to get an idea from the head and transform it into action?

Rosângela, our secretary, is organizing the archives of our candidates. Names, letters curriculums, she drowns in the middle of their intentions.

Juliana, our communicator, is producing materials and brochures and organizing the data to attract the students. We wish to have creative and bond students, we have to reach them!

Rose and Tatiane, from the finance department, are working with numbers, detailing the budgets. We need to guarantee the course quality. Yes, it involves a lot of work to implement a course like that!

In addition, how about me as a coordinator? I am trying hard to get more funds to our Scholarship Fund, so we could assure the participation of students that cannot afford it. I am also developing a system to follow and register our alumni impacts. More and more we need to show to the whole society what means to the Planet to have socioenvironmental business!

Our three grantees are now in the World...

Report 3

Dear Family/Donors,

In this report, we will show you the last accomplishments of our three grantees, JESSICA, TINA and GUSTAVO as students of the Socioenvironmental Business MBA at our school – ESCAS. They were able to finish their studies and completed their final work successfully.

We are proud of them and totally GRATEFUL TO YOU!!!!

TINA and JESSICA developed the final work together, and produced a Business Plan for an educational product entitled KaáEcó-Field School, which will offer opportunities of Experiential Education.

KaáEcó-Field School was designed to be an open and integrated education platform that facilitates networking and offers practical experiences in socio-environmental topics of global through Learning Experiences. The Field School has the goal to benefit local communities, students and professionals, promoting learning exchange (local and international) in socio-environmental conservation and sustainability.

The work is already in use, as our school ESCAS will use it to implement this innovative product in the future.

Impact generating more impact!

GUSTAVO, made a study on synergies between the Environmental Education subject and Entrepreneurial Education. He analyzed the Instituto Reciclar (a Brazilian organization) as a study case, and diagnosed and learned creative ways to use the premises of EE as a tool for the entrepreneurial world.

He is already using this knowledge in his own company, which develops education videos and media.

Another addition to our leader´s family!

Dear Family/Donors,

Following the update on our MBA grantees, it is a pleasure to announce that we have another young in our group: JESSICA

In the following pictures, we present to you the MBA grantees in the classroom, the course is almost finishing their class’s period and they are preparing to work in the final paper. See them also in their work.

Let me introduce Jessica and then chat a little with you about the progress and achievements of TINA and GUSTAVO.

JESSICA is a young female professional that works in South Brazil in a park specialized on birds (http://www.parquedasaves.com.br/pt.html). Jessica has background on international affairs and is very dynamic and communicative. It is impossible not to pay attention on her! She came to the MBA course because believes in sustainability and wishes to build a network and knowledge to pursue this career. We THANK YOU for supporting her!

How about TINA and GUSTAVO?

GUSTAVO got a promotion: he has moved to another city and is expanding his company's activities. In the MBA course, GUSTAVO is working now with another fellow to prepare a final paper analyzing the impacts of environmental education and communication´s projects.

TINA is coordinating a huge project on Brazilian Amazon that involves 17 Conservation Units. She says, “The course gave me a better understanding about socioenvironmental business, allowing me to link social and economic aspects to the biodiversity conservation, which is my focus. The knowledge that I have gained on business management were crucial to my project coordination, as well as the discussions with my colleagues and teachers”. Tina is working with two other fellows in a final paper on a business plan for a Learning Platform.

Very good news! However, we still need your ENGAGEMENT and HELP to reach our goal of 25 thousand dollars for our Scholarship Fund. We still need 16.000!

Please, share with your family work partners and more people to involve them with our school, ESCAS - School of Conservation and Sustainability (www.ipe.org.br), a place where the science is for and with the Society.
