During this quarter, we began by assisting 20 students with various learning difficulties. Additionally, some of them come from extremely low-income backgrounds, which prevents them from accessing the necessary therapies. As a result, our center is their only opportunity to move forward and receive the support they require.
In January, the number of students with special educational needs increased. We are currently assisting 30 students. Each case requires personalized attention, making it necessary to expand our staff. At present, our team consists of six members, including two Italian volunteers.
The children have shown remarkable progress. Those who initially had language difficulties are now speaking more clearly, reading, and writing their first sentences. The older students have improved their grades, and two of them receive psychological support to help them cope with their parents' battle with cancer.
There are more students hoping to join our center, so we appeal to your generosity to continue opening doors for children who need our support.
None of this would be possible without your help. For that, we extend our deepest gratitude.
