Thank you for being part of Cetaps grouth!
We have a British Clinical Psychologist working as a volunteer with us. She specialises in working with young people, mental health and trauma. Along with an Ecuadorian Psychologist she is running a young women’s empowerment group with 4 adolescents.
First we asked permission from the parents as we believe it is important to respect and honor the parents views and rights.
The group is running for 16 weeks and is covering topics such as: emotions, relaxation, respect, relationships, sexual education, rights and consent, puberty and self-esteem. They are now half-way through the group and the young women have attended every session and the parents have reported a noticeable improvement in their children’s well-being and confidence which we are so happy about. In September the male psychologist here plans to run a similar group with the adolescent boys.
All of our chldren at CETAP have finished theis final exams at school, they have been working hard to get goodgradesand have some well deserved vacations!
We are so happy to have you as part of our big Cetap Lucys family!
Thank you so much for believing in the work we do!
