Dear Friends of the WomenLead Institute at Counterpart International,
We are pleased to give you the latest news on our campaign to raise COVID-19 relief funds for women-led organizations around the globe. Your generous donations have provided communities with opportunities to improve women’s mental health, share and access resources, support rural populations, and aid grassroots organizations. Below is just one story of how you have made an impact.
Guyana: Shamela John is the founder of RESYSCO, a financial management firm based in Guyana. An accountant by trade, she faced many obstacles on the way to creating her own business. After COVID-19, she left her job with the idea to support other women. She established an organization to improve women’s health and finances. With the fund, we provided technical and financial support to RESYSCO to host a meeting on women’s well-being and train women on financial sustainability.
Thank you again for your generous donation. We will continue to support women-led organizations around the globe as funds become available, and we look forward to sharing more stories with you.
