In under-resourced schools, the shift to part-time government education has left children unattended on the streets for extended hours each day. With parents working full days, the only supervision available to these children often comes from gang leaders who exploit this vulnerability. It’s a frightening reality.
Over the past three months, our funding has unfortunately decreased. As a result, we were only able to provide 11 days of food for the children. Our volunteers managed to engage the children in football and assist with homework, but our resources are sadly limited.
Despite these challenges, we remain committed to our cause. We hope to keep more children engaged with our project rather than falling into the influence of gangs. However, we’ve noticed a slowdown in donations recently. Your contributions are vital to the success of our project and the support we can provide to these children.
We’d like to highlight a significant day - Giving Tuesday, falling on November 28th. It’s the most substantial day of the year for donations. Excitingly, GlobalGiving will match every new donation made on Giving Tuesday, amplifying the impact of your contribution on our cause and enabling us to continue our work for another year.
