Dear Donors,
We would like to share with you our annual report 2022.
This year allowed us to work on 4 projects in the municipalities of Urique, Batopilas, Guachochi, Carich, in where we installed 676 rainwater harvesting systems, benefiting more than 3900 people by providing them with clean water to drink and a decent roof for their homes.
We expanded our coverage to the municipality of Batopilas, which is among the 5 municipalities in Mexico with the worst social backwardness indexes, according to the CONEVAL 2020 diagnosis.
We realized 38 community meetings in which agreements and commitments of the beneficiary in the construction, care and maintenance of their system were established.
38 Theoretical-Practical workshops, where the beneficiaries were involved in the execution of their own project, providing them with technical abilities in masonry.
38 water disinfection workshops in which the beneficiaries learned how to use water filters and 671 filters were delivered, which will help improve water quality.
New training sessions were provided to the families of water harvesting beneficiaries, in which they received training on the correct use of the water collected, sanitation and personal care, which will allow them to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal and cutaneous diseases, among others.
All this work is possible thanks to the generous support of donors, including all those who contribute through GlobalGiving.
So, on behalf of the entire CAPTAR team and all the communities that collaborate with us, we sincerely thank you for making clean water possible for so many people.
Matétera Ba!
