Starting 2025 with Reinvented

Happy New Year Reinventors!

This update is going to be a bit different from past updates, so hang in there with me. 2025 so far has not been our year. So many nonprofit organizations are struggling as a result of new DEIA legislation and funding freezes and Reinvented is far from immune. As a historically girl serving organization, we could use some immediate help as things settle down at the national level.

Here are some quick ways you can support today:

Donate: If you can, please consider donating to Reinvented Inc. to help us continue to cover not only our programmatic expenses, but also our day-to-day operational expenses that keep our organization as a whole running. Every single penny donated makes a difference, and no donation is too small.

Take a Look at Our YouTube Channel: We are currently gearing up to release some new content on our YouTube Channel, but while you wait we’d love for you to head over and watch some of our old videos from before Reinvented took the channel over. (P.S. Our channel is monetized, which means that you can help us financially by just watching our videos!)

Heading into Fall with STEM!

Welcome to Fall Reinventors!

We’re so ready for fall, how about you? We have SO MANY awesome things planned before the end of 2024; and we have a recap on everything we’ve accomplished so far this year!

Princesses with Powertools

The princess events just keep coming and we’re living for it! Over the summer we attended events in New York, Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, and Costa Rica! Some were events we’ve been to in the past, such as the Long Island Maker Faire and the Tulsa Maker Faire; but others were brand new like a collaboration with the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center in Austin, TX and the Brevard Zoo in Viera, Florida! Our princesses taught over 1300 students how to use their first powertool this summer, and the fun is just going to continue into the fall and winter months ahead!

Space Gala 2024

Up next on Reinvented’s event list is our third annual Space Gala, hosted each year in the rocket garden at Kennedy Space Center! This year’s event will be taking place on Saturday, November 9, 2024 and we’re expecting 300 women and allies in STEM to join us in dancing the night away under pink lit rockets!

Reinvented Magazine

Last, but not least, our volunteer staff is gearing up for our 18th issue of Reinvented Magazine. This issue will be themed around artificial intelligence and will feature interviews with some incredible women and nonbinary individuals working in the field on topics such as social media algorithms, ethics, policy, and innovation. This issue is scheduled to be released later this month so be sure to stay tuned for updates!

Summer Update from Reinvented!

Happy Summer Reinventors!

We’re so ready for summer, how about you? We have SO MANY awesome things planned before you all head back to school; and we have a recap on everything we’ve accomplished so far this year!

Princesses with Powertools

Earlier this year we attended our first ever international Princesses with Powertools event in Costa Rica! Our volunteers taught over 120 students how to use their very first powertool, and we’re so excited to hopefully bring them back next year!

We also attended additional events in Los Angeles, Miami, Pennsylvania, Long Island, and Austin! Our princesses have taught over 1,900 students how to use their very first powertool and they all walked away excited to learn more about STEM! And, it’s only June! We still have events coming up in Shoreham, Tulsa, Baton Rouge, Orlando, and more before this year is over and we hope to see you there!

STEM Fashion Show

Up next on Reinvented’s event list is our first ever STEM themed fashion show being held in Austin, TX on July 20, 2024. This first of its kind event will feature 12 (role)models who will walk the runway wearing tech and space inspired garments including the implementation of 3D printed textiles, LEDs, wearable technology, sustainably sourced materials, and so much more!
