Rainforest Biodiversity Improvement Project

Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for your support to our project improving the biodiversity of our rainforest. We are happy to report that we are doing very well with this project with local and crowdfunding support. Biodiversity and climate change are very relevant issues that each of us need to address and we are doing our share by engaging farmers to plant more trees. This is done together with the planting of food crops like vegetables, cereals and legumes for without these, farmers have little incentive to grow trees. Trees takes long to produce income and fruits and so we mixed them with short-term crops like vegetables. This reporting period we have engaged 15 farmers to do this kind of strategy. Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for your donation to our project rainforest improvement for biodiversity. The rainforest in our target areas has been largely decimated and what is left are patches of forest. There is a need to improve this situation but exacerbating the problem is the lack of water in order to grow seedling nurseries and we are trying to remedy this situation by finding water uphill and tapping this via gravity in order to provide water for downhill villages. This reporting period we are able to find a source from uphill and we successfully brought the water down to a village where a seedling nursery is intended to be established. Your help in this initiative is indeed important.
