Since the reopening of vocational training in January 2021, our trainees from the 10th intake have continued to improve their skills, and at the end of May, they completed their training program at our vocational centre.
In this update, we will report the practical test before the end of the training and the training-completion ceremony during April- May.
Normally they seem to enjoy the training class, talking with each other. During the test period of two weeks in April, however, they concentrate on their practical assignments seriously.
In tailoring class, they read the detailed instructions on the test paper and tried to make the dress carefully. On the other hand, in carpentry class, they were trying to make folding chairs.
They successfully passed the final exam on May 28, 2021, and finally completed their training program at our vocational centre. On that day, the full day ceremony was held to celebrate them.
According to the initial plan, they were planning to start their own business in June. However, due to the rapid spread of Covid-19, the lockdown has been declared again by the president in Uganda. Therefore, the opening of their own business has been postponed.
We will continue supporting them as they prepare to start their business after the lockdown is lifted, which is scheduled for the end of July.
We hope that you will continue supporting us for their own business in order to achieve their self-reliance. Thank you very much for your continued support.
Best regards,
Tatsujiro Suzuka
