Scholarships for Intelligent but Needy Students

Dear Friends ,

We thank you for your support to this project and making it a huge success. With these donations, Society for Human Development has made it possibile for many needy students to achieve success and dream big. During the last quarter, SHD has provided a computer learning facility for the students of St. Peters School Toba Tek Singh. The purpose of this facility is to improve computer literacy and criticial thinking among children. 

This is the very first Computer facility at the school and the students are very excited to have it.More than 200 students are benefitting from this activity. One of the students, Aamir thinks of it as a blessing for the children. He gives credit to the school management for introducing compter studies in their course. " I am always excited to attend the computer class. I always wanted to learn computer but we do not have it at home. Here I have been able to learn typing, write essays and play games. I am thankful to the school for providing us the computers"

SHD requests all our donors to keep supporting the project. 

A scholarship distribution ceremony was held at Society for Human Development Toba Tek Singh in June, 2021. Nearly 24 students from Jhang, Gojra, Sahiwal, Francis Abad (Tehsil Shorkot), Khushpur (Tehsil Samumdhri) and Toba Tek Singh received the scholarships. Fr. Simon (Chairperson Society for Human Development Toba Tek Singh) and few other dignitaries including Rev . Bishop Indreas (Bishop of Diocese of Faisalabad) was also present on the occassion. The students were very excited to receive the scholarships and they ensured SHD that they will work hard throughout and will get good grades.

Sharoon (one of the scholarship holder) lives in Sahiwal and studying in Intermediate. His father was a photographer and died last year due to Covid -19. His father was the only bread earner for his family. Sharoon due to a weak financial background often faced difficulty in paying up his college fees and after the sudden death of his father he had to leave his college because of the high college fee. " One day, one of my friends told me to contact Society for Human Development as they are helping the students who are in need to cover up their educational expenses. After registering with SHD, I got the scholarship and now I am able to continue my study. I am very thankful to the team of Society for Human Development for supporting me and for not letting me give up on my education".
