Sponsor a child's education for USD 10 per month

The “Mision Huascaran” team wishes you and your loved ones find themselves in good health. These times are still challenging in Peru, but we face them with optimism and a lot of positive energy. We continue to advance with our educational project “Sponsor a child's education for USD 10 per month”. We would like to share our progress from the fourth quarter of 2023 and say thank you for all the support.

Actions accomplished:

1. We continue with our complementary educational program, benefitting almost 200 Andea school children in reading comprehension, literacy, and critical thinking at 6 rural schools in Ancash Peru.
2. In the fourth quarter of 2023, 382 hours of comprehensive reading classes were given by the Mision Huascaran Education team.
3. With the Raz Plus, an interactive reading platform, our children read almost 9164 digital books.
4. The average reading program attendance rate of our students was 96% in the fourth quarter of 2023.
5. In October, improvements were identified in the learning abilities of the children who belong to the literacy program, since several of them graduate from the literacy program and enter into the reading comprehension program.
6. In December, the children who participated all year in the program participated in Accomplishment Day, where they showed their reading skills to their school and local community.The children are always nervous but excited about this particular activity.
7. Also in December, we celebrated Christmas with all the Misión Huascarán kids, they all received a gift pack thanks to the support of several dedicated benefactors of the NGO.
8. All students currently enrolled have access to their personal tablet, giving them access to vanguard learning applications, otherwise not available in the remote rural areas of Peru.

2. In the third quarter of 2023, 420 hours of comprehensive reading classes were given by the Mision Huascaran Education team.
3. With the Raz Plus, an interactive reading platform, our children read almost 8330 digital books.
4. The average reading program attendance rate of our students was 96% in the third quarter of 2023.
5. In July, the team participated in the Day of the School Teacher, celebrating this worldwide day to celebrate the honorable efforts of all teachers around the globe.
6. In August, the team organized several special activities around the worldwide Day of the Children.
7. All students currently enrolled have access to their personal tablet, giving them access to vanguard learning applications, otherwise not available in the remote rural areas of Peru.
