We've now raised enough funds to cover all training for all six of our Bali-based midwives who needed an extra year of training. Three have already graduated and the last three will graduate next year. This means that their nurse-midwifery certification is updated and they're able to stay licensed and keep practicing. They can keep delivering that essential woman-to-woman model of midwivery care that is proven to have the best outcomes for mothers and infants.
We are still raising funds for advanced training for our Aceh midwives. This is a national requirement so all the midwives at all our clinics need to fulful it. If you are a monthly donor, we will be moving our donations across to this program. If you would prefer that your monthly donations go to another program instead, please send us an email at donorsupport@bumisehat.org.
