WAFA is very grateful for such a big donation from your team and really thrilled to have your support! This money will make a huge difference in running the platform for finding "silent heroes" globally and awarding them, in looking for more low-impact solutions and helping them to see the world.
Water Air Food Awards is an environmentally savvy, non-profit organization, with a global reach, based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
WE SHINE A LIGHT on committed individuals and teams whose nature-based solutions are successfully leveraging natural resources and local materials – solving this world’s environmental problems TODAY. Our mission is to help previously unheralded “silent heroes” replicate their solutions, one community at a time.
Since 2010, we have identified silent heroes in 82 different countries and reached more than 84 million people. To date, we have awarded 14 winners in Asia, Africa, South America, and Central America.
The bottom line, WAFA is on a hero’s journey to becoming The Humanitarian Oscars, celebrating the life-enhancing innovations of silent heroes everywhere.

WAFA entrants and award winners are unsung, environmental innovators who are accomplishing extraordinary results. Busy as they are saving people and the planet, we are busy telling their story – calling attention to their ingenuity, commitment, and impact. Our intention is a simple one – to celebrate these exceptional pioneers and spark environmental heroism in every village, town, and city on planet Earth. And WAFA´s team really hopes to get more donations and support through GlobalGiving and its partners to make our goals possible.
Your generous support will enable WAFA to continue to keep the doors open on a month-to-month basis as we are entirely based on volunteers and run on a very low budget. Your donation encouraged us to continue with our mission and shine the light for more and more communities in the world.
