Greetings from St Martins School, Kenya.
We are grateful to have started the new year and look forward to a good one. We hope the year has started off well for you, your families, and your teams.
St martins school boys are progressing well and they had a good year ending December 2022.
They have resumed school for the new calendar year and a new term. This school year started on the 23rd of January and they will be in school for 13 weeks.
They are in the process of getting new students beginning their first year of high school. Theirs being a new school this will be a challenge but they are optimistic that they will have a good number before the term closes.
The delayed rains and the inflation that is affecting the country and a larger part of East Africa have had a significant impact on the school due to the high costs of food and the fact that they cannot do farming because of the lack of rains and the high cost of energy should they chose to pump water from the school borehole.
The school is still in need of resourcing and in this regard, a computer lab would go a long way in helping the school meet its technological needs and also boost its access to more educational content.
All in all the school is having a good start and we are grateful for the far we have come thanks to the support we have received and continue to receive in making the school a model school for the Boys and the community of Kibagare.
Best Regards,
Alfred M Aswani.
