This year the 9th year fundamental exams were administered July 19-21 to grade 9 students across Haiti. Students cannot get promoted to the 10th grade if they do not pass the exams, regardless of performance during the school year. In Haiti, grade 10 is the first year of high school, which goes up to grade 13. Our school College Les Sophos sent 19 students to take the national exam, and 16 of them passed. We are proud of all 19 students! They’ve had to endure a lot this year.
We thank you, the dear donors for your support. Without your crucial donations, the previous year wouldn’t be possible for our students. Honestly, we didn’t expect this great success from our precious students given the circumstances. Besides, the social unrest and extreme economic hardship, their school was vandalized, and they were terrorized.
We’re grateful for our supporters, we’re proud of our students, and we are hopeful for a successful new school year. Congratulations to our scholars!
