Many of us in the developed world take for granted being able to send a child to grade school without paying the school directly. In Haiti education is a significant financial strain on parents. More than 85% of primary schools are non-public and enroll over 80% of all primary school children. Students are often forced to stay home due to inability to pay. Just under half of people over fifteen is illiterate. We are working to change this reality. Each donation received to pay for school is hope to a young a child of a better tomorrow.
Hello, my name is Bihama, I am 10 years old. I am a 7th grader at the College Les Sophos D’Haiti. I want to become a doctor. I like doing vocabulary and grammar, and I like to study the nature around me like the animals, flowers and trees. I liked to ask questions about the natural world, like rivers, the sun and stars I see at night.
