1. PROJECT/PROGRAM UPDATE:
- This month, the lesson was from The Superbook curriculum about Lazarus teaching how to prioritize in Luke 10:38-40. The minister challenges the children to know how to distinguish, prioritize and fix things that might hinder or stop them from their important duties by learning and spending time with Jesus Christ.
- Making cheesed hotdog sticks.
- Training them about Marijuana and weed, and making a campaign podcast.
- The children have learned how to manage times, prioritize, make a snack, and the advantages and disadvantages of Marijuana and weed.
- The children have shown great responses and cooperation with the activities. They were able to understand the meanings and importance of their duties well, to understand the benefits and demerit of Marijuana and weed, know how to reject them, and learn how to make a snack.
Hello, my name is Da , I am 15 and studying in grade 7 at Pai Wittayakarn school. I came to the Saturday School since I was in grade 2, when I followed my mother to the church here, and I joined the School after that. My close friends are Nami and Jan, we grew up together, and they helped teach me to do my homework. There are 6 people in my family, father, my mother, me, and my sister’s family. My father, my mother, and my brother-in-law work as general employees, but my sister could not work because she has just given birth. We are quite poor, my parents don’t have their own land so we have to rent the land to plant the soybeans. It didn’t rain much this year, my mother was so worried because the plants would be damaged. I helped my parents by doing the chores, but sometimes I was busy playing with my phone and didn’t finish the chores and the homework, and I felt sorry. However, after learning about time management and trying to apply it, then I found out that I could complete my chore, finish, and submit my homework in time, and I still had some free time with my phone as well. I am so thankful to the Saturday School for teaching me to do many things and to know what is good for me.
