Dear Friends,
Work continues apace in Terat, helped by your continued generosity and support for our work.
The solarisation of the community dairy has now been completed; reliable, clean power has now been ensured. This new solar installations not only provides an important source of income for the village through the community dairy, but also a consistent and reliable source of power for the radio station, ORS FM, which continues to be a vital source of public health information for the nomadic Maasai communities.
The radio station is continuing to transmit programmes across the north of Tanzania, and even reaching into Kenya thanks to the powerful transmitters that can now be powered by the solar.
The picture attached shows the solar system up and running in Terat.
As ever, please do feel free to share this project with friends and family - we and the people of Terat, Tanzania will be very grateful.
Many thanks and kind regards
Kirsten and the SVRG Team
