In our latest GlobalGiving project, ‘Help Ukrainian Children with Disabilities', update, we would like to again thank you for your support and let you know why what you do is so important.
The social welfare support people receive from the government is barely enough to survive, and it is definitely not enough to pay for the essential treatments people with disabilities require. Families who need to pay for medical treatments for children with extra needs are at the mercy of charities - and we thank you for stepping up to the challenge!
In addition to the four treatments already paid for we have now paid for another four physiotherapy treatment courses for four children with disabilities. The total cost for these treatments is 8,400 hryvnias (US$303) per child. These 'Essential Sessions' treatments will take place at the hippotherapy center and include:
10 hippotherapy sessions
10 Sandakov method massage sessions
10 kinesiotherapy sessions.

9-year-old Aleksandra S. from Donetsk Oblast (cerebral palsy)
3-year-old Aleksandr L. from Donetsk Oblast (spastic tetraparesis, gross developmental delay)
5-year-old Eugenii M. from Kharkivs'ka Oblast (organic lesion of the central nervous system, paraparesis)
4-year-old Ihor K. from Kharkiv (cerebral palsy, tetraparesis)
These children are to attend their life-changing course later this spring.

Bright Kids is constantly working to raise funds and create programs that support children with severe health conditions and to create opportunities for their mothers to learn new skills so that they can work to provide for their families.
